Pool Thief Reported on Burton Avenue in McNeil Estates

A new Police Report submitted by a resident of McNeil Estates, Las Vegas NV needs your help to identify the suspect.

From the footage, the thief first drove by the house on Burton Ave. The suspect's car is a red burgundy Japanese 4-door sedan, possibly a 2024-2025 Nissan Sentra Rosewood Metallic 4-door sedan or a red Lexus 2019–2021 ES 350.

From the footage, the thief turned around, drove to the front of the house and parked. The thief left the door open and possibly left the engine on, as he or she walked towards the side gate.

From the footage, the thief is seen entering the backyard and headed towards the pool. He or she then kneeled down, pulled up the pool vacuum cleaner by the tube, disconnected it and proceeded to walk back toward the red or burgundy red car at the front of the house. The actions on the video indicate he or she knew exactly what he or she wanted to take and nothing else.

From the footage, the thief is seen walking back to the red burgundy 2025 Nissan Sentra Rosewood Metallic 4-door sedan with the stolen pool vacuum cleaner. He or she gets in the Red 4-door sedan and drives off.

Hello everyone. My name is Sam Stone, and I am a neighbor representative working with your community in McNeil Estates here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am reaching out to request your help with an active investigation into a backyard burglary in our neighborhood.
I’d like to walk you through the incident of what happened and share specific details captured on security footage in hopes that someone recognizes the vehicle or the individual involved.
On the day of the theft - Tuesday, September 1, 2026: The homeowner who lives on Burton Avenue, realized a stranger had entered the backyard and stole the pool vacuum cleaner.
Upon reviewing Ring security footage, the theft was discovered to have taken place exactly at 2:03 PM PST.
The security video reveals the following details:
The Vehicle: A red burgundy Japanese 4-door sedan, likely a 2024-2025 Nissan Sentra Rosewood Metallic 4-door sedan. The driver drove past the house, turned around, parked out front, and left the car door open with the engine potentially running.
The Suspect: Appears to be either a Caucasian male (possibly high school or college-aged) or a Caucasian female in her 20s, approximately 5'5" tall, with short blonde hair. The suspect was wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt over a white shirt, baggy torn blue jeans, and white tennis shoes or sneakers.
The Action: The suspect walked directly through the side gate straight to the pool, kneeled down, pulled the pool vacuum cleaner up by its hose, disconnected it, and walked back out to the car. The suspect’s actions indicate he or she knew exactly what to steal and took nothing else.
How You Can Help: We are asking anyone who lives in or was passing through the area around 2:00 PM on September 1st to review their own camera footage or recall remembering anything related to this crime.
